Method

Pizza Dough:

Step 1 of 8

Combine 1 cup (125g) of flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. If desired, add garlic powder and dried basil.

Add olive oil and warm water and use a wooden spoon to stir well.

Step 3 of 8

Gradually add another 1 cup (125g) of flour. Add any additional flour as needed, stirring until the dough is forming into a cohesive, elastic ball and is beginning to pull away from the sides of the bowl. The dough will still be slightly sticky but still should be manageable with your hands.

Drizzle a separate, large, clean bowl generously with olive oil and use a pastry brush to brush up the sides of the bowl.

Lightly dust your hands with flour and form your pizza dough into a round ball and transfer to your olive oil-layered bowl. Use your hands to roll the pizza dough along the inside of the bowl until it is coated in olive oil, then cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and place it in a warm place.

Allow dough to rise for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.

Once the dough has risen, use your hands to gently deflate it and transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead briefly until smooth (about 3-5 times).

Roll out the pizza dough so that it is about xxcm thick.
 
 
Assembly:

Pre-heat oven at 200C.

Step 2 of 8

Cut the string cheese to quarters.

Step 3 of 8

Cut the pizza dough to about 32 pieces.

Place the quartered string cheese on each square, sprinkle some Italian herb seasoning.

Roll the dough into balls and place them seam-side down on a parchment-lined tray into a Christmas tree shape.

Step 6 of 8

Brush with egg wash.

Bake at 200C for 16-18 minutes, until golden brown on top and the cheese starts oozing out.

Sprinkle fresh parsley and grated parmesan; serve with some pizza sauce on the side.

2) 1 packet instant yeast (2 ¼ teaspoon)

6) 2 Tablespoons olive oil + additional
7) ¾ cup warm water (175ml)

1) 1 egg + 1 tbsp water - egg wash
2) Barilla Pomodoro Ricotta
3) Mozarella string cheese
4) Italian seasoning
5) Olive Oil
6) Fresh parsley, chopped
7) Parmesan, grated
